Acupuncture: An Ancient Philosophy

Acupuncture:  An Ancient Philosophy

For the last three years I have been studying acupuncture.  I am getting close to finishing the basic curriculum for the initial certification.

It is the first of three levels.   As I continue this study I realize that I have more questions than answers.
Previously, when I decided to learn about another technology, which I felt was integral in Alternative Health Care,  I had found a person who I felt epitomized acupuncture in the manner which would be most applicable to you and my practice.
I had found someone who is able to teach the material necessary to utilize acupuncture, but there is another factor.  The mechanical practicality.  Acupuncture is not just knowing where the points are but when to utilize which points at what time.  I spoke to the doctor teaching the class and he said that comes with practice.  I have heard this before and did not like that answer back then.  My solution has always been find a master.  See what I can do to help them and in return request that they share with me the years of experience they have with acupuncture.
About three month ago, I decided to look into acupuncture from a personal level.  It started when I went to visit my daughter.  In her apartment building on the bottom floor was an acupuncturist.  She was Chinese and had been schooled in China.  I saw her every day when I was visiting and used myself as a patient.  Her evaluation was beyond my understanding but it WAS a valid analysis. It was based from evaluating pulse and the tongue.
I studied what she mentioned but realized it was time to find someone here in Atlanta.   I found a person who was previously a surgeon and had went back to school to study acupuncture. His teacher was a gentleman who approached  health care while blending a Traditional and Functional Medicine Approach.
Bringing the philosophy of acupuncture fits perfect in with our practice.  It is brilliant and will assist me in what I do presently in my practice.
He suggested I read a book titled," Digesting the Universe".  It helps blends together the types of medicine I mentioned above.
The reason is it is perfect for me as I am somewhat familiar with Western medicine and the Atlanta acupuncturist practiced medicine for a long while.
Sometimes when speaking to a traditional acupuncturist we do not share the same terminology.  We may be saying the same thing but in a very different way.
So this is a perfect avenue for me to learn most effectively and expeditiously.
I will let you know how it goes.
I have a sit for a 14 hour test to receive my initial certification.  This will verify my knowledge of basic acupuncture.  But the practical application is best served here in Atlanta.
My next article will address what acupuncture is most effective for.  So often it is adjudicated to a procedure done when nothing else has worked. It has a very definite use.  I believe that undertaking this study has been quite beneficial and I believe it will help many patients.
Alternative health care is becoming much more accepted and I request that you do both those you know and your family to share it with them.
We have instituted a new program on the office,  " Friends And Family".  It will allow new patient to received 30% reduction of their initial visit.x

Does Eastern Medicine have a place in today's healthcare system?

Does Eastern Medicine have a place in today's healthcare system?

My interest in Traditional Eastern health care was motivated by the sheer simplicity and effectiveness of its technology.

It appears that their technology is based on foundational principles which are the cornerstone of their philosophy.  I have taken some liberties with the wording but I needed to make it relevant to us.

Simplicity is the guiding principle to base a health care system upon.

THEY THOUGHT ABOUT IT.  There were no considerations about the pharmaceutical industries, the doctors, or any other vested interests.  Just the pure simple truth.

These principles are countless but I have found some which are foundational for our practice.
  • You cannot be sick and healthy simultaneously
  • Therefore the more healthful activities you are involved the greater will be your health will be.
but there is a proviso:
It will take time for the health to overcome the sickness.

In regard to the patient's point of view the following information is vital:

Symptoms are the kindness of the body to let you know what is going on inside the body.

The more I thought of this fact the more its brilliance occurred to me.  Really it is the body "talking" to you.   It is the reverse of the basic cornerstone of traditional medicine in this country.  The contrast being, traditionally, symptoms are considered the problem and ANYTHING that is done to alleviate the symptoms IS the cure.

Another major factor is that often people will try to convey their symptoms as their attempt to create a greater understanding for the doctor.  MANY time this conversation is dissuaded.  An attempt to persist with this conversation, especially if the symptoms are resistant to a cure. is considered that "you" are really a hypochondriac.

In eastern health care symptoms are of great interest.  After all YOU are the best at listening to them and in time learn their meanings.  This is vital to decide if and how the body is healing.

We look forward, when necessary, to reorienting people to this so rational form of health care.  Many people have gotten the idea that it is time to look for alternatives.  Factually, there are more visits to alternative doctors presently than to traditional doctors.  Look at the statistics of the efficacy of traditional health care and you may see the need for an alternative.

We are dedicate to this endeavor and have spent many years learning and working with this technology. Many of my practices are based on this philosophy.

Chiropractic Reduces Opioid Use

Chiropractic Reduces Opioid Use by 55% in Low Back Pain

By Mark Studin
William J. Owens

The following article I found to be quite interesting and refreshing.  From this article you can read that Chiropractic offers a way out.  I am not sure how prevalent this problem is in your areas of society, but I see far too much of it.

With the help of a competent medical doctor experienced in this area of practice by eliminating the cause of the pain in their lower back and the expertise to help them off the opioids we have seen great result.

There have been recommendations from hospital accrediting agency that a non - opioids protocol be developed in each hospital to ease this dilemma.  Chiropractic was high on the list of options.
If you know anyone suffering from this, you can be of great service to them.  We would love to see them at Alternative Healthcare Center

For those of you who may know someone dealing with back pain.  We would love to help.  I have found that by combining Chiropractic and nutrition we have a better success rate.
Please visit our website : yourhealthmatterstous.com to find out more about what services we offer and how we can help you take charge of your health.

In the United States, of the adults who were prescribed opioids, 59% reported back pain.  According to Statistia, the percentage of adults in the United States in 2015 with low back pain was 29.1% ( and in 2017 that number was 49% for all back-pain sufferers reporting symptoms

Prevalence of low back pain is stated to be between 15% and 30%, the 1-year period prevalence between 15% and 45%, and a life-time prevalence of 50% to 80%” .

While acute pain is a normal short-lived unpleasant sensation triggered in the nervous system to alert you to possible injury with a reflexive desire to avoid additional injury, chronic pain is different. Chronic pain persists and fundamentally changes the patient’s interaction with their environment.  Chronic pain patients suffer from more than pain, they experience depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances and decision-making abnormalities that also significantly diminish their quality of life .

Chronic pain patients also have shown to have changes in brain function in sufferers with Alzheimer’ disease, depression, schizophrenia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder giving further insight into disease states. In addition, chronic pain has a cause and effect on the structure of the spinal cord and the brain resulting in a process termed “linear shrinkage”.

“Ten percent of adults suffer from severe chronic pain. Back problems constitute 25% of all disabling occupational injuries and are the fifth most common reason for visits to the clinic; in 85% of such conditions, no definitive diagnosis can be made.”

One in 5 patients with noncancer pain or pain related diagnosis is prescribed opioids in office-based setting… primary care clinicians account for 50% of opioid prescriptions.  1 day of opioid exposure carries a 6% chance of being on opioids 1year later, increasing to 13.5% by 8 days and 29.9% by 31 days.  Among drug overdoses in the United States in 2014, 28,647, 61% involved an opioid.

Opioids were involved in 75% of pharmaceutical deaths in 2010 and in 2015 over 22,000 deaths involved in prescription opioids were recorded-an increase of 19,000 deaths over the previous year.

Perhaps a portion of this phenomena is related to the training of medical primary care providers regarding musculoskeletal conditions.

Only 26% of fourth year Harvard medical students had a cognitive mastery of physical medicine

“Incoming interns at the University of Pennsylvania took an exam of musculoskeletal aptitude and competence, which was validated by a survey of more than 100 orthopedic program chairpersons across the country.

Eighty-two percent of students tested failed to show basic competency. Perhaps the poor knowledge base resulted from inadequate and disproportionately low numbers of hours devoted to musculoskeletal medicine education during the undergraduate medical school years.

Less than 1⁄2 of 122 US medical schools require a preclinical course in musculoskeletal medicine, less than 1⁄4 require a clinical course, and nearly 1⁄2 have no required preclinical or clinical course. In Canadian medical schools, just more than 2% of curricular time is spent on musculoskeletal medicine, despite the fact that approximately 20% of primary care practice is devoted to the care of patients with musculoskeletal problems. Various authors have described shortcomings in medical student training in fracture care, arthritis and rheumatology, and basic physical examination of the musculoskeletal system.

With continued evidence of lack of musculoskeletal medicine and a subsequent deficiency of training in spine care, particularly of biomechanical orientation, the question becomes which profession has the educational basis, training and clinical competence to manage these cases?  Let’s take a closer look at chiropractic education as a comparison. Fundamental to the training of Doctor of Chiropractic according to the American Chiropractic Association is 4,820 hours (compared to 3,398 for physical therapy and 4,670 to medicine) and receive a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. As a result, all accredited Doctor of Chiropractic degree programs focus a significant amount of time in their curricula on these basic science courses. So important to practice are these courses that the Council on Chiropractic Education, the federally recognized accrediting agency for chiropractic education requires a curriculum which enables students to be “proficient in neuromusculoskeletal evaluation, treatment and management.” In addition to multiple courses in anatomy and physiology, the typical curriculum in chiropractic education includes physical diagnosis, spinal analysis, biomechanics, orthopedics and neurology. As a result, students are afforded the opportunity to practice utilizing this basic science information for many hours prior to beginning clinical services in their internship.

Although chiropractic has been clinically reporting for over 100 years positive outcomes for a vast array of conditions inclusive of low back pain the American Medical Association (AMA) has been a significant opponent historically. Although the AMA’s position has been well chronicled through lawsuits such as Wilk v. American Medical Association, 895 F.2d 352 (7th Cir. 1990)
It appears they have reversed their position. In the August 2017 Journal of the American Medical Association’s “Clinical Guideline Synopsis for Treatment of Low Back Pain” under the heading MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS, spinal manipulation is recommended as a first – line therapy, with a strong recommendation.

As the AMA did not list Chiropractic specifically and based upon clinical guidelines of other highly regarded medical institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic and the Mayo Clinic, physical therapy is probably high on their list as first-line of referral for spinal manipulation (This is a  topic for another article and nomenclature utilized by chiropractic). When considering the treatment of mechanical spine issues comparatively between chiropractic and physical therapy the outcomes are overwhelmingly in chiropractic’s favor as reported by Studin and Owens (2017)

Mafi, McCarthy and Davis (2013) reported on medical and physical therapy back pain treatment from 1999 through 2010 representing 440,000,000 visits and revealed an increase of opiates from 19% to 29% for low back pain with the continued referral to physical therapy remaining constant. In addition, the costs for managing low back pain patients (not correcting anything, just managing it) has reached $106,000,000,000 ($86,000,000,000 in health care costs and $20,000,000,000 in lost productivity).

The above paragraph has accurately described the problem with allopathic “politics” and “care-paths.” Despite self-reported overwhelming evidence of chiropractic vs. physical therapy outcomes for spine, where there were 440,000,000 visits and $106,000,000,000 in failed expenditures, they hypothesized that increased utilization for recommended treatment would increase. The recommended treatment, as outlined in the opening two comments of this article, doesn’t work and physical therapy is a constant verifying a “perpetually failed pathway” for mechanical spine pain.

In 2013, average annual charges per person for filling opioid prescriptions were 74% lower among recipients compared with non-recipients (author’s note: recipients are referring to those patients receiving chiropractic care). For clinical services provided at office visits for low back pain, average annual charges per person in 2013 were 78% lower among recipients compared with non-recipients. The authors have similar between – Cohort differences in charges in 2014: annual charges per person were 70% lower with opioid prescriptions and 71% lower for clinical services among recipients compared with nonrecipients. The Adjusted likelihood find prescription for the opiate analgesic in 2014 was 55% lower among recipients compared with nonrecipients.

…the Adjusted likelihood of filling a prescription opioid analgesic was 55% lower for recipients of services provided by Doctor of Chiropractic compared with non-recipients (pg. 4)

The above reports evidenced based outcomes verifying chiropractic must be considered as the first-line of referrals, or Primary Spine Care Providers for mechanical spine diagnosis (no fracture, tumor or infection). The evidence also reveals that chiropractic outcomes exceed those of physical therapy and medicine for mechanical spine diagnosis. Unfortunately, it has taken 10,000’s of opioid related deaths to bring chiropractic to the forefront and start to eradicate the medical dogma against chiropractic and consider chiropractic as the 1st referral option for spine.

The myth of "getting old"

The Myth of " getting old"

As you may have noticed I really like to use analogies in my conversations with patients about their health.

Some of my favorites analogies seem quite relevant to many health related subjects. The one about getting older has particular meaning for me as it has to do with assigning difficulties with your health from aging.

Here is a most common scenario.  A patient will talk to me about their left knee being in constant pain, it hurts most when it is used extensively.  After x - rays and examination, their diagnosis is arthritis.  They were told this condition exists and it is a common event from getting older.  My reaction to this information is, I smile.  They look at me in puzzlement.

I ask them,  " Do you skip when you walk? " , "or have you injured that knee before?"  Their answer is no about the injury and that they never skip.

Next question is have you been on crutches ?  They say no,  starting to get somewhat perturbed from this line of questioning.  Then finally I ask them this question.

How does your right knee feel ?  They pause somewhat and many times say it is fine.  I then ask them how old is their right knee ? So much for the age rationale.

Pain, diagnoses and dysfunction have causes, and often AGE is not the cause!  Undeniably,  age causes you to use the parts of your body longer.  But the condition of the body part is largely based on the nutritional status over the years and consequently how it has repaired itself.  What you eat can have as much of a detrimental effect as what it has been deficient in.

Trauma can have a devastating effect but far too often the tissue is deemed irreparable prematurely.

You can be physiologically younger and chronologically older.

It is based on how you take care of yourself.   Do you notice some people who look young for their age as well as others who have not aged well ?   Another way to view it, is the function of the body capable of healing.  From this point it can be viewed as how well it repairs itself.

If you surveyed the people, who are older and look great about how they have taken care of themselves you will not be surprised by their answers - Usually they have been eating well and exercising consistently and live life with an attitude which is impressive and insightful.

If you consider how you have taken care of yourself you can determine how old you really are.

Here is a checklist you can use:
  1. Do you have any unexplained pains for a long period of time.
  2. Do you have a condition that has not resolved ?
  3. Are you taking any medication which is to mask the pain or problem of a condition?
  4. How long have you been taking this medication ?
  5. Do you sleep well ?
  6. Do you eat well ?
  7. Do you use the bathroom every day?
  8. Do you drink enough fluid every day?
  9. Do you handle stress well?
  10. Are you happy often ?
  11. Do you exercise consistently ?
  12. Is there something you know you need to do for your health but are neglecting ?
  13. Is you energy level stopping you from living your life as you choose ?
  14. Do you work more than 40 hours a week and are stressed at doing it ?
The body has maintenance requirements !  The benefit and liability of meeting these requirements are self evident.  When you take care of yourself you will be rewarded in the long term.

Sometimes as a defense against this premise some will say, but what about "  the person who is a "health food nut" , she exercises all the time and they are now really sick !"  This situation is often baffling and sometimes negates, for some, the necessity for taking care of yourself.

Invariably, when you look closer at this person you will see some profound areas of neglect which have befallen them.
Unfortunately, sometimes they are doing what they think is necessary to be healthy but their information may fall very short of what actually is the case.  I have seen people in this situation and their frustration is profound.

Common sense is the best answer I can give you in these circumstances.

It is almost as firm as a law that if you do the right activities for your health, you can predict the end result.  So I suggest you look at the "questionnaire" I have provided and see how closely you fit to some of these categories.   The health you save IS your own and well worth the effort.

I will help you and it will be my pleasure to do so.

Contrasting this newsletters, I discovered this test to determine your "real age" : https://www.age-test.com

You will notice that it addresses your attitudes towards life and activities.  You may see it puts far more credence on attitude.   A different point of view.  I guess both are vital.Take Charge of your health today!

The Reality of Sugar

The Reality of Sugar

It can be difficult to give up sugar- but your life may depend on it.

I have never felt that I have communicated the importance to avoid sugar sufficiently.

By sufficiently, I mean, that one would not even consider eating it. I have been called fanatical because of it, and one patient even calls me "sugar".

This extreme statement may not be necessary for good health, as moderation is often suggested as an alternative.  But the avoidance of sugar makes it much easier to resist the temptation (addiction) to consume concentrated sugar.  By that first bite, sugar consumption may become a vicious cycle..  It becomes a snowball effect and that is dangerous to your health.  This testimony I have heard from many patients who have beat the sugar habit.

Another thought to help you avoid sugar was to show you statistics about the the rising rates of diabetes in people. Diabetics are getting younger all the time-  IT IS AN EPIDEMIC. These may be our children.

I have seen the awful realization of a parent whose child was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  Many patients have noticed the dietary habits in their children's diet and then realize that they may have been complicit in the creation of this disease.

HARSH, I know, but consider if it may be truthful.

If you think that this is a problem in your household, consider looking into the pantry and seeing what is in there .  A "soft drink"  has up to 12 teaspoons of sugar . The averages revealed by a Yale University Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity found that a majority of Americans understand that soda is bad for them.  Despite this, a Gallup poll reveals that 48 percent of surveyed Americans — nearly half! — drink soda on a daily basis.  What’s more, among those who drank soda, the average daily intake was 2.6 glasses per day.

That is 17 teaspoons of sugar a day.  And that is just their soda.

As with all the alarming statistics that exist on this subject and with full knowledge that I may be creating a numbing effect about this subject, I am still going to reveal them again.
  1. Soda is the largest source of dietary sugar in the diet of children and adolescents.
  2. Liquid sugar — has been associated with an increased risk of metabolic syndrome and with higher rates of Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, insulin resistance and cardiovascular difficulties
You can have a marked change about this !
  1.  Go through your pantry, refrigerator and freezer and throw out ALL products with refined sugar.
  2.  Be a support person for someone in your house.   Group up if possible with another person and promise to help them through this.
  3.  The almost instant benefits ?   more energy ,  less cranky,  better reflexes,  better sleep,  loss weight .

I still feel I am missing the IMPACT that I desire.  I hope this is helpful and I believe if you try this for a month there will be no need for such stringent controls.

Best,

DrMarc

Ah on the positive note.

Alternatives to sugar :

Xyletol
stevia
NO sugar

Alternatives to chocolate:
Lilly's

Alternative to cookies:

Oatmeal raisin cookies can be made healthy and tasty :

Some recent relevant story about the overuse of sugar :

A 12 year old girl was brought to see me by her Mother.   The Mom was quite distraught as she knew her daughter's diet contained far too much sugar.   It had gotten to the point that the child loved to dance and was not able to muster enough strength to get through her routine !

A woman in her forties has come to see us with a hyperactive thyroid.   She had lost a lot of weight and looked unhealthy.   During her report of finding I suggested that she stay away from sugar.   I cannot describe the look on her face but I knew at that point that this would be a point of contention.

A young woman who was having severe panic, anxiety attacks and was close to going on medication for it.  When I checked her it appeared there was a considerable variation of energy in the sugar processing systems.   With considerable problems with blood sugar your moods can be extremely volatile and can experience panic and depression.

After I told her that she would have to modify her diet she revealed to me that she was "addicted to sugar",  she had something very sugary at each meal.   She kept a "stash" of candy in her car, under her bed and in her classroom.   She was not willing to give this up.  After a considerable amount of time and the use of some herbs she progressively did much better.  So much so I hardly recognized her when I saw her.

I could write stories for the rest of the week about children we have been able to modify their diets and how much better they did in life and in school.

So what do you THINK ?

How do you know if the treatment of your diagnosis will "heal" your symptoms?

How do you know if the treatment of your diagnosis will "heal" your symptoms?

This question came to my attention from an experience I had with a veterinary student.  She arrived at Alternative Healthcare Center and was experiencing severe migraine headaches.  She had been diagnosed with Arnold–Chiari malformation. This problem blocked the cerebral spinal fluid near the base of the brain.  From her neurologist's opinion - only surgery would solve the problem.

I decided to check her nutritionally and see what I could find.   As you may imagine, she was pretty stressed from studying and considerably sleep deprived.  Consequently her adrenal glands were nutritionally deficient.  I explained to her what I had found and suggested to her a course of action.
She told me,  " what the heck, what could it hurt?'

She started on the supplements and within two weeks her headaches were significantly diminished.

From this experience I have decided, that although from an MRI it was evident that she had this condition,  "you" could not see the pain caused by it.  It was an assumption, although it made sense to me that her condition could cause the headaches.  Probably, often, it was the cause of the headaches in other people with this condition.

So from that point forward I have "ignored" the diagnosis and still proceeded with nutritional care but not abandoning her seeing her neurologist.

There is an eastern philosophy saying about health, which I find to be quite workable.  "You cannot be sick and healthy simultaneously"  The corollary,  "  the more healthful activities you are involved in the more possibility that you will heal.  And like this woman had said," heck what could it hurt" !

You may want to keep this in mind when dealing with health issues.   Each doctor has a specialty and therefore has an opinion based on his training and expertise.  I find that if you can get your body to heal, many of the conditions and symptoms it may have, may very well heal.

What is Dr. Marc looking for when he test me using NRT?

To Understand What We Are Doing Enables You To Be An Active Participant In the Process Of :

Taking Charge of Your Health!

We are interested in helping you become the healthiest you can be.

Understanding about your health is the key.

Dr. Marc's Nutrition Response testing explained !

In the beginning of each visit we utilize a Chinese evaluation procedure of observing.  Ancient oriental technique meaning "looking at the body" and understanding by its signs if it's healthy".  The color of the skin, the conformation of the body, how you walk and talk can all be signs of the health of your organs.   For example, if your nails have white spots it can mean you eat too many chemicals or sugar.  If you lose hair from the front part of the head it could mean you are drinking too much liquid and/or eating too many fruits.

Initially we are evaluating your body's function.  Remember our evaluations are energetic and there have been doctors who have spent a considerable amount of time learning how to "listen to the body" to find the answers which are necessary.

Once I have established if you are testable then I evaluate a series of points and determine the energy in each.   This is where you may notice the most dramatic change in the strength in your muscles.   This tells me that there is an alteration of energy in this area.    Each area pertains to certain parts of the body.   All the while we are getting closer to the major area of disturbance.   Once this is ascertained we will check certain nutrition to see if its energy is compatible.

The basic theory is about energy.  The thought being that without energy that systems cannot function. In modern day health care this is most dramatically seen in an EKG.  A flat line reading lets you know that there is no energy in the body.

I like to use the analogy about a house that is hit by lightening.   When the house is hit and all the lights may go off. One does not go around and change all the light bulbs to reestablish the light.  The first thing to do is check the energy (circuit breaker) to the lights and see if they have the electricity necessary to light.

Then once you are certain of this, ( there is sufficient energy coming out of the socket), then you can evaluate the light bulb.  Your body functions similarly, you must normalize the energy first.   It is essential for your organs to have energy for that organ to animate itself.  Basically it is in need of LIFE energy.  There are many different ways to reestablish the energy.  I will write another article just about this later.

Once you establish the energy you can then start to help nutritionally feed the organ or cleanse the organ.  This process is to help that system function.  The body is made of nutrients and without them it is not possible for it to recreate. The easiest way to determine the health of the body is based on the person's ability to heal.  It is somewhat of a challenge to help someone heal as most people feel that when the symptom is gone so is the condition which caused it.

It is vital to see that dysfunctions in your body can happen over a long time.

The basic philosophy is health is a journey not a destination.

Many people do not have a firm grasp on how alternative or complimentary health care can help them.    In future articles I will write more about the basis for each of them.

Too many people are having trouble unnecessarily without the knowledge that someone can help.  Please let them know we are here for them.

"What is it that you do professionally"?

What do I say when someone asks me what I do professionally?
To answer the question,  "what is it that you do professionally"?,  I had to think about what I was going to say.  I tried I am chiropractor but I realized that this was a much too limited description to be effective.   I have many patients who have Chiropractors and I needed to differentiate what I did that was different.

I am an alternative health care doctor.  This response invokes a funny response and looks that "said", Oh! he is one of those!

So recently,  I tell people I am a doctor that helps people heal without drugs or surgery.  This seems to work as "everybody" wants to  be healthy without drugs and surgery.  So at least at this point we have something to agree upon.

After this statement comes an explanation.  I started off my career as a Chiropractor but within 9 years I realized that this was not enough for me nor for you quite frankly.  Through my own experience to regain my health I started to utilize nutrition into my life and practice.  This became a quite promising endeavor as the lives of many were greatly benefited.

BUT with this decision came many questions.
  • What nutrition should I utilize ?
  • What techniques were necessary to determine what nutrition was necessary?
  • Where am I going to learn these techniques ?
  • Am I going to utilize blood work ?
  • Saliva tests?
  • Homeopathy?
  • Allergies Techniques?
  • Detoxification Techniques ?
  • Energy Medicine Devises ?
  • Acupuncture ?

After 25 years of this intensive questioning I realized that nutrition was not enough, I have studied a number of alternative therapies and realized that a combination of many and a specifically designed treatment plan for each individual provides the best results.
I am continuously learning and educating myself on the variety of natural therapies from all over the world. Educating myself and my patients is the reason why I have had such success in my practice. My goal is to help individuals take charge of their health.

Giving patients the right resources and the right guidance has allowed them to live their best life - even when diagnosed with serious health issues.
